This could be the end of the road for Jags and Jerome. Two hall of famers.

Jagr's longevity has been staggering. Dude's like my age.

David Desharnais signs a one-year deal, 1M with NYR. Centre depth: either ya have or ya don't.

Pirri replacement for the 4th line, with more upside. Not a bad pickup for them.

Cannot believe Tallon has stripped his offense-starved team of almost all his top scorers from last season and hasn't done much of anything to add firepower. You'd think he'd have pushed hard for a Radulov or even a Vanek.

Good riddance. Good talent, good hockey IQ, good size, but bad work ethic and skating. His minuses far outweighed his plusses, and it didn't help that they went out and got the EXACT SAME FUCKING PLAYER in Joe Colborne.

Oilers sign all-around decent player and shootout whiz Jussi Jokinen to a one-year deal. I like that fit.

Apparently he's not a shootout whiz anymore, but perhaps undervalued because he's still perceived as a shootout specialist even though he's more than that. Dude's been putting up 40-60 points regularly for over 10 years and people in the MSM still label him a shootout specialist.

Oil sign French D Yohann Auvitu to a one-year deal. Hope he's good enough to stick. It would be fun if France emerged as a minor hockey power.

So far they've got Auvitu, Bellemare and Roussel in the NHL, with Da Costa coming back and Texier a prospect for CBJ.

Xavier Ouellet was born there too!

Ouellet's dad played for France internationally, but I guess Xavier is only considered Canadian. Too bad, he would've looked good in that WHC lineup.

Meanwhile, Viktor Stalberg and Nic Jensen are going back to Europe.

I'll be pretty bummed if this is the way it ends for Jagr. Maybe he ends up getting signed during the season? He was still delivering in a top line role at the age of 44 last season. I don't see how there's a team out there that doesn't bet on that for 1-2 years. I mean, dammit, Vancouver! What would it have been like to see the Twins and JJ doin' their thing!?

Preds re-sign 31-goal man Viktor Arvidsson to a bargain long-term deal: 7 years, 4.25M AAV.

Preds now have Forsberg, Arvidsson, Josi, Ekholm and Ellis locked up till 2019 at 20.5M annually.

Preds get Arvidsson locked up, at 24, for the exact same deal that Ken Holland gave a soon to be 29-year old Justin Abdelkader. Great...

Anyone going to get something than a PTO at this point?

Vanek and Stafford should get one-year deals. Iggy and Doan if they even want to come back.

Franson always gets his one-year deal.

If Francois fucking Beauchemin lands a deal and Jaromir Jagr doesn't, then I'm convinced the NHL is run by 31 morons.
