Ducks sign Mike Santorelli to a one-year deal worth 875K. Depth centre who exceeded expectations on a lousy Leafs team and was basically worthless on a playoff team.

Don't know if it was mentioned yet, but Ehrhoff signs a 1-year deal with the Kings, spurning the rumored offer by the Blue Jax.

Here's an article about Ehrhoff by Lambert. I'm not sure what it is about his sentence structuring that is so odd, but that's half the fun of reading his stuff.

Los Angeles sign overage defenceman Damir Sharipzyanov. The Russian played for Owen Sound in the OHL last year. They seem bullish on him, so keep an eye out.

Toronto seems to be the only one giving some (potentially) legit players a chance. The rest of those look like a big fat waste of time. I suppose I don't blame TB since they're in need of a cheap backup.

How the hell did Dustin Penner STILL not get at least a PTO?

Good for Hejda...he deserves a legit shot at the Cup. I can't imagine him not sticking as a 6/7 guy.

Anaheim have brought back D Vitaly Vishnevsky on a PTO. Last played in the NHL in 2008. He's 35.
