Well so far most of our picks look like shit. Nobody picked the Bruins.

A little past the quarter post on the season:

Bruins 39 points in 26 games +22
Panthers 36 points in 27 games +16
Leafs 32 points in 24 games +7

Rangers 39 points in 26 games +15
Flyers 32 points in 27 games +10
Caps 31 in 25 games -8

WC1 Red Wings 32 points in 26 games +15
WC2 Isles 31 points in 26 games -5

Habs 27 in 28 -21
Pens 25 in 26 +6

Outliers from the usual goal diff/playoff indicator in bold. I guess when the Sens win, they win big. And oddly, they're an even .500. No Bettman points at 11-11-0.

If anyone wants to do the west, go for it. I only care about the east.

The Caps with -8 and Isles with -5 would seem to be the two teams most likely to fall out of the east. Especially with TB, Carolina and NJ chasing them. That NJ team is good, and had a very bad start but seem to be pulling it together. Despite their +10 I'm still not sure I believe in Philadelphia making the playoffs either. So I think the east is more contentious with 3 teams that may fall out with 3 solid teams chasing them.

In the west its only Nashville and Arizona (+9) that I believe may fall out of the playoffs. Edmonton had a terrible start but are making up ground pretty quickly and 7w - 3L in their last 10. They'll bump someone out. St. Lou (-12) and Calgary (-15) are right there but I'm not sure with differentials like that, that they can play their way up into the #8 spot. My guess is Edmonton knocks out either Arizona or Nashville, so only one team likely to drop in the west.

Didn't mean to say that they will fall out, meant it as a reasonable possibility though. Its going to be a battle for them. Six teams in contention for three spots.
