I'm shocked in that it wasn't done just a little later. I thought he had maybe two more games left.

So stoked that Dubas at the age of 9 was able to fire that hall of fame arrogant prick.

Loved Commodore's response...

Didn't know this!

Commodore (along with Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios[19]) also held against Babcock the fact that he healthy scratched Mike Modano when he had 1499 games played. Modano retired following that season and never reached the 1500 games played milestone

Quote:
Following his retirement, Commodore has lashed out at Babcock multiple times, particularly on Twitter where he constantly refers to the coach as a "piece of shit".[21] Commodore has also said he hopes Babcock "gets hit by a truck

On Montreal radio the other day, Gord Miller said when Babcock was still in Detroit and about to go to Toronto or Buffalo, Zetterberg and some of the vets went to Holland and said absolutely do not bring him back. They had enough of him.

Miller also said a couple of Olympians told him, "I'm fine playing for Babcock for two weeks at the Olympics, but I wouldn't want him to be my coach longer than that."

Imagine if the Devils fired Hynes and snagged Babcock. P.K. would demand a trade before the ink was dry.

Well, I ended up being wrong about Hynes being the first coach fired, but I'll be surprised if he's not the 2nd one to go.

Devils are only one point out of last place in the entire NHL, and Taylor Hall with a whopping THREE GOALS in 21 games played.

Ray Shero probably makes it to the end of the season, but then I think Tom Fitzgerald gets promoted.

disappointed at the comments I have seen making it more about the player waiting so long to bring it up than what was said. Racist still want to find loop holes for racism.

100% correct. People do the same thing with sexual abuse and assault.

Happy to see his teammates confirming the story now and that Aliu specifically mentioning his captain, Jake Dowell, confronting Peters about it.

Just realized he wasn't shit canned.

I however emailed the team, messaged them on the facebook page and called the GM and left a message to fire the fucker.

Well, Peters is a formality at this point.

Hynes most definitely is on borrowed time, I think the only thing that's keeping it from happening until after the regular season is that the Devils may have already declared the season a bust and are making preparations for yet another lottery win.

Boudreau, shockingly, has the Wylde on an upswing, though they have a very, very large hole to dig out of. Of course, the Blues proved you can dig you way out of anything.

Lumbus is hovering around .500, or the NHL's equivalent. I imagine Torts is safe given the monumental changes to the roster he's had to endure.

There just isn't an obvious "next" now that Babcock and Peters have both bitten the dust. Hynes is a goner for sure, it's just a matter of when.

Tonight HAS to be it for John Hynes. It has to be. Down 5-0 against Buffalo before the 1st period buzzer sounded.

Babcock was fired by the Maple Leafs on Nov. 20. Just days after his removal, it was revealed that in 2016, the former bench boss made then-rookie forward Mitch Marner rank his teammates by work ethic before showing the list to the players on it.

Devils fire Hynes. Alain Nasreddine named interim coach. I guess giving up a touchdown in a miserable season will do that...

Not the greatest timing--mere hours before the 2nd of their back-to-back--but they couldn't wait any longer.

Wonder if Shero's in any trouble. I imagine the seat's at least a little warm.
