So as long as the NHL is going to keep having outdoor games, here's an idea: Why not have them in relatively central, cold climate locations, and have a few teams play games there? Similar to the Stadium Series, where the Devils and Isles both played "home" games vs the Rangers. Something like use the Met Life Stadium while the Jets and Giants are away, and have home games for all three local NYC metro teams, playing warm climate, out of town teams, so they get to be part of the hoopla. Another game in mid-PA, and have the Flyers and Penguins get home games... Not all the setup for one frigging game. Use the rink for a few games... Just seems so dumb to spend so much time setting up and tearing down for a single game.
