Unfortunately I'm describing hockey writers more than I am fans. The "Mr. Corsi" fan is only awful when they're someone who's just using the numbers to just find a way to further their own argument without any real understanding on how those numbers work. Too many people now just scream REGRESSION!!!! for the hell of it. In that sense, I'm kinda glad the Capitals, posting some of the worst advanced stats of any team this season, ended up winning it all. |

Oh and if any of y'all ever have the misfortune of watching a game with me I'm that guy that yells "SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!" when there's a guy with the puck who has about four would-be blockers in his lane. |
