Listening to the pre-draft edition of the Bobcast now, he says a number of scouts don't have Zadina in their Top 5 and it's totally conceivable that the Habs take someone like Kotkaniemi at 3rd overall. I'm reading Quinn Hughes' stock has also risen...it might not be a given that he goes to the 'hometown' team in Detroit at #6. Someone in this mix is likely gonna fall, wondering who. Bouchard? Wahlstrom? Veleno? Avs fans seem very set on the team taking Grigori Denisenko, a smooth-skating winger who has all-around ability. If they did he'd be the first Russian the Avs take in the first round in nearly 20 years (1999, Mikhail Kuleshov, whose disastrous stint with the organization was reportedly so bad it prompted Pierre Lacroix to avoid Russians in the draft for the next decade or so). |

On 690: Ferraro says Habs should take Zadina, McGuire says Tkachuk, Button basically says Kotkaniemi, Hughes also thrown out there. I think 1-2 is clear, but after that anything goes. |

Listening to 31 Thoughts right now. Sam Cosentino expressed frustration with Quinn Hughes because he opted out of the Combine.  Combines, be they NHL or NFL, are complete and utter bullshit to me. I really don't give a fat fuck if Casey Mittelstadt can't do a pull-up. I also don't care one bit that Rasmus Dahlin opted to go even though he had zero reason to do so and Quinn Hughest didn't. |

Tomorrow baby! No idea how this is going to go down or if it will be as busy as people say. One interesting thing: apparently the 2019 and 2020 drafts are way better than this one, so if you're a GM who wants to deal futures for current players, you're more likely to trade picks now than later (*cough cough Sens*) |
