The oldest surviving NHL player is a man named John "Chick" Webster. Webster lives quietly in a small northern Ontario town named Mattawa. Chick, so named, because of his like of Chiclets gum, is 96 years old. The New York Times have written a nice story about the former Ranger who only played in 14 games in the 1949 - 1950 season.
