I'll admit it- I got suckered. While shopping online on "Black Friday", I saw an ad for 85% off NHL jerseys. I ordered 4. 2 arrived, smelling like King Neptune wiped his ass with them, and then let them lay on the ocean floor for a few decades.
I've gotten dragged out emails on the other 2, asking me to switch to an NBA jersey, another NHL team, warning that the refund will take 15-45 days, etc. So I tried to go to their site today and saw it's been shut down by the MLB, NHL & NBA as part of a counterfeit jersey crackdown. So I'm out $90 on the 2 jerseys I'll never see, and the other 2 are finally bearable after 4 washings (Clorox & vinegar among the "detergents" used), but know they're fake. I was pretty sure all along they were fake, but knowing for sure annoys me, and the stitching is coming out of the one I got for my kid, which is also really annoying. At least make a high quality fake! Put some pride into your faux-craftsmanship!

So I've asked the counterfeiter to send me a solid 14 karat gold bar, weighing at least 1 lb. Who knows, maybe they'll send passable counterfeit gold.

Lesson learned. :fffffuck:

Ahh damn, sorry dude :x

I grabbed a Ryan Smyth jersey for my brother for Christmas one year from Ebay I think...and afterwards I looked up the color scheme for every single year and none of them matched, so that was likely a fake. A good one, but a fake.

When I bought the Campbell All-Star Yzerman, it was advertised as "Authentic", which is actually a class of NHL jerseys(replicas are the 100, ~200 with a name; Authentics and the true ones that are like 300 with a name). Well, it was a replica and it turns out those didn't come as authentic. I tried to negotiate some money back but they told me that they reported me to the cops for extortion. That whole thing was kind of annoying. You can use the word authentic to describe it as a real licensed jersey, but then the NHL actually has the type Authentic. Annoying.

The "real" Reebok jerseys are of so f'n shitty quality nowadays I don't think it matters. My Johnny Gaudreau Jersey is fading on the patches and has threads coming out.

Seriously. The NHL lawyer link has ways of determining the difference, and one of the ways is the tag. The real ones have the hologram NHL logo. Sooooo, in other words, the jerseys are of the same quality!

The site I'd bought through claimed they were not only authentic, but licensed, so they were full of shit. Now a friend is warning me not to be too mouthy with them about getting my money back, or "I" may very well own the next round of sites selling fakes, since they have all my contact info and credit card number. :chairshot: He went through it a while back as well, and warned me instantly when I sent him a link to get his own "cheap" jerseys. Fuck me with a shovel.

Yep! Site was named in such a way I thought it was here, not overseas. :fffffuck:

I'd try to cancel the shit out of that credit card.

I spoke to the fraud dept. They're keeping a very close eye on the card. Anything in China will be denied, since that's where the stuff came from. I may ask that they change the number, but it's such a pain in the ass, because I have like every account linked to it so I'll spend a day changing my payment method on tons of sites... I know that's the smart thing to do, but it's going to take hours, which I don't have. But I guess the result may be less money that I have. Fuckers.

And here's a great part. I asked them for their address so I could return the fake jerseys, and they replied not with a physical address, but with the web address to their new fake jersey site. So I sent that to the NHL lawyers, and Fanatics.com, who their site is modeled after, including their logo. Fuck those fucking fucks!

Got the full refund in my account today.
Get to keep the jerseys since they refused to give me a shipping address (probably afraid of being raided).
Changed my card # this morning, after verifying that they didn't use my card to order their next round of faux jersey fabric.
Scammers 0. Me 1. (Probably more like Scammers 10,203,328, but not vs me!)

I got the full amount back. Afterwards I got a very polite email from the faux jersey sellers, asking me politely to return their money, asking why I would pull my money. I replied, lambasting them for jerking me around, selling fake jerseys, etc. I told them it was the last time I would reply to them, no matter what. They replied asking me to send my jerseys back. I haven't, but I can't tell you how tempted I am to reply asking "so, you want me to send the jerseys back?" in the same vein that they had done to me with "so, you want us to refund your money?" Then I would give some further run around excuses about why it will take a while to do... Eventually send them the same tracking number they'd given me twice. Hahaha. It would be a lot of fun, but I have a feeling I'd be the owner of their next 20 sites selling fake jerseys.

Something tells me that if you got their fake jerseys for free and aren't sending them back that you are increasing the risk of them abusing your card.

Card number was changed weeks ago. They can use my name for something I guess, like owning the next 20 fake jersey sale sites.
