Montreal: 102 pts, 76 gp

Tampa Bay and St. Louis at 99 pts.

Rangers lose to the Caps, blowing one of their games in hand on idle Montreal. Ducks win to go to 105 points but they've played more games than any of the other contenders. Preds lose 5-2 to Calgary.

Using 50/50 results for the remaining games (basically flipping coins for results), Sportsclubstats weighs the chances of winning the Presidents the Following:

1. NYR - 31.7% (101 pts, 75 GP)
2. ANA - 28.3% (105 pts, 78 GP)
3. MTL - 22.5% (102 pts, 76 GP)
4. NSH - 9.0% (102 pts, 77 GP)
5. STL - 4.7% (99 pts, 75 GP)
6. TBL - 3.5% (99 pts, 76 GP)

Montreal hosts Tampa tonight (and the Rangers officially get that game in hand back). Montreal hasn't won yet vs Tampa this year but can pretty much seal the Atlantic with a win. St. Louis' longshot bid sees them hosting the Canucks.

I can't find the quote now, but someone asked Boudreau about the Presidents and he said something to the effect of "let the Rangers have it, we're going after another trophy."

So maybe Bruce believes in a curse.
