He'll probably have a hat trick vs the Isles on Saturday since they traded him away.

Game 7. 2-1 SO loss to the Sens. For reasons I will never understand, they went with Schenn first. Why would you send out a grit guy for the skills bullshit? Him, Horvat and Holmstrom were all stopped. Well, Holmstromm didn't need to be stopped. The puck dribbled off his stick, with the game on the ...

Possible, but he's probably making like $2M for the year. That doesn't hurt the desire to at least start the year.

From all I've read, coaching contracts are guaranteed money, so sometimes I wonder if coaches act like total dicks to get fired, then sit back and keep collecting the money.

Game 6. 3-2 win vs Canucks. 3-3 on the season now. Palmieri with his 1st & 2nd of the year. Maccelli with his first as an Isle. Schaefer with 2 assists.

At Sens on Thursday.

Game 5. First period was all Lightning. 2-0 at the end. Isles made it 2-1 around halfway through the 2nd, and teh building came alive. And Heineman took a shitty tripping penalty, killing the momentum and of course, the Lightning scored on the PP. 3-1. Isles came back to tie it on a nice Schaefer ...

Horvat in tonight. Nazar suspended two games for the hit.

Hammers lost their AHL home opener in the SO to the Marlies. Isaiah George was taken out with a bullshit WWE move. Said to be out a while. Lovely. Still bummed they left Bridgeport, but they had 14k in attendance. I don't think they hit 14k ...

Happy Thanksgiving, eh!

Nope. Just tears...

Horvat going to be evaluated by doctors outside the team. That's not a good sign. Is it me, or does that sound like the team doctors cleared him and he feels he should sit out?

Logan Stanley has 4 assists and is +4 in 4 games. Obviously a very small sample size but I found that really surprising. He could be a great signing. Or, more likely, it'll strike midnight for him one of these days and be a very long, dark night.

No word on Horvat's noggin yet. He took a ...

Game 4- 4-1 win over Blackhawks. Sorokin almost made it 2 full home games without allowing a goal. Chicago scored with an extra attacker after 57 minutes. Horvat got his second of the game into the empty net, then got rocked by Nazar, who isn't a dirty player, but it looked like he was aiming for ...

I had no idea, but Romanov left the Ranger game. His season is over. Torn ACL. So much for that LD depth.

I hate to be rude because he obviously does not deserve to have two seasons taken away from him due to injury, but IMO the Isles are better off without him. He is, stat-wise, the single ...

Game 3. 5-2 loss to the Rangers. Not sure why they chose this as Varlamov's first start. He let in 3, and 2 were empty netters. I know you have to play him but against the Rangers? With no back to backs in sight? Two days off between Saturday's win and Tuesday? It's just bad timing to play him.

I ...

Isles have two post-game awards now. A hardhat for the hardest worker. Cliche and kinda boring, but nice to reward someone who works hard but doesn't necessarily get results. And a canoe paddle, for "the guy who steers the boat" (or some slightly wrong nautical quote that was used after the home ...

Game 2. 6-0 home opener win vs the Devils. Eklund with his first NHL goal (plus an assist), with his mother in attendance (from Sweden and he found her in the crowd to wave like a little kid after the game was over), on his 20th birthday, and so he got the first star of the game. After interviewing ...

DeBoer already throwing the lines into the Jack Capuano line blender (TM):

Heineman-Horvat-Palmieri
Schenn-Ritchie-Eklund
Holmstrom-Pageau-Duclair
Palat-Cizikas-Maccelli
E: MacLean

Pelech-Schaefer
Romanov-Pulock
Stanley-DeAngelo
E: Kessel-Mayfield

Either he's just trying any combo, or he's ...

Wow, that faceoff total is surprising, I'm not a fan of Horvat but I thought one thing he's consistently good at is draws.

Darche confirms he was in on the Marchenko sweepstakes, bottom line no one else had a player as good as Knies to offer up AND was willing to take on those awful contracts ...

They looked good, other than the first 8 minutes or so when the Isles were flying, but Stolarz saved them.

2-1 loss to the Leafs. Heineman with a SH goal with like 5 minutes to play. Isles controlled like the first 7 minutes of the game and then shit the bed for a while. Logan Stanley's 12' long stick broke in half, not even sure how, but he was given a stick by a F and it was about a foot too short for ...
