Ass kickings abound as Week 2 proves the league isn’t quite that balanced! In fact, the closest spread was 43 points. Recap better late than never….

Somehow these guys beat the Ducks. I thought they played well that game and looked like they actually gave a shit.

They got a win before the Flyers and the Kings......imagine that!

The Suniev for Zary move seems to be paying off. I have no idea how Zary took it nor do I particularly care.

There ...

Someone needs to be strung up by their balls at ESPN.

A overly loud whooshing noise that comes blaring out of your speakers along with some back room walking around and slamming of items.

Way to go ESPN.....Fuck you!

To all the boys from the True North!

Pasta comes into game shape finally with 4 points and the Bruins smack the pants off of Utah 6-1. Poitras with his 1st of the year!

Bruins were outshot in this one 37-22 so tip of the cap to Swayman.

Avs gave a lot of time to their B squad. But it didn't matter as Toews and Makar started beating up on poor Devin Cooley.

I think Matt Coronato got in a fight! Might as well...he's not doing much else!

And then there was almost a rally when the Avs felt sorry for them.

Moser couldn't get ...

Dustin Wolf tries to get on track against an Avs squad at the Dome tonight. The Avs are on the back to back of a frustrating game against the Peg last night so don't expect this to go well for Calgary or Dustin.

Calgary better be assigning Wolf a sports psychologist this year!

Out of everyone mentioned I think Tocchet is the first to go. Philly should be better with that roster. Michkov is clearly talented but I dont think Tocchet is the guy to get the buy in and tap into it.

Yep...this is a team protesting in solidarity behind Zegras and tucking in their jersey's at ...

And he CLEARS! Yikes......off to the Wranglers!

I suppose this makes sense....if you can't crack this Flames roster....well why would anyone else want you?

Well all eyes were on Zary at the beginning of the year.

I don't understand the purpose of waving him. Who else is going to slot in and play at this level? It isn't like they need the cap space either. Publicly they wouldn't admit it but Zary must have ruffled the feathers of the staff along the ...

Ironically this dumpster fire is still better than the Flames!

What is going on in Detroit?

Week 1 2026

And we’re off! Week 1 in the books for the 2026 Douches League. A big thank you to everyone for being involved to start the season. I tho…login to view the rest of this post

I can stomach a rebuild providing I see actual talent developing and effort.

With this team I do not see the forest through the trees. There is no bright spot to get to.

Literally an almost unwatchable team they are so bad. I have yet to make it through a full game....Vancouver was close ...

Yikes! Game 1 made Seattle look like Stanley Cup contenders. I could only watch so much of this......before I had to move on for my own sanity. Nevermind Dustin Wolf!

This is probably the worst Flames team I have ever seen dressed for a season.

How exciting to watch them play Seattle 4 times in 1 ...

Forced to update and re-add the existing V2 light.......spent 2 hours trouble shooting this damn thing last night....only to discover that my PiHole was blocking a minerva service that needed to be enabled. I wish I had found this thread last night with the notes to myself!

When the Red light ...

Nate Mackinnon is the best player in the league. Before you could argue McJesus...but the last few years....Nate steps on the ice and its usually domination.

He was in mid season form last night.....and even showed off some muy thai!

Well......guess Bednar is not going anywhere with a 4 year extension. This pleased my wife who does not like the Bednar hot seat talk!

https://calgaryherald.com/sports/hockey/nhl/calgary-flames/what-to-know-about-the-calgary-flames-opening-night-roster

Yikes...not one seat filler name on that roster. In fact if I wasn't a Flames fan I would be like who the hell are these guys......even the Young guns many moons ago had an Iginla ...

Kadri is not the player he once was...not that I ever thought he was that great anyway.....lots of money tied up in that 2nd line.

Also happy that ChooChoo has left the station for good.

They need to get Mackenzie going....early.

However, there isn't much to fear on this team once Nate leaves ...
