Chris Kreider's the fuckin' man.

I suppose if I were to do a pun for this one it'd be "Erskine Rug" or "The Human Torts." NHL already beat me to "Laich a Boss" and "Easy Kreider."

well i've said it already but big players make big plays.........with holtby doing what he does its no surprise his big strikers get him goals. Still surprised that the caps are playing the way they do...reminds me of the b's last year.

Man, is Hunter playing with fire. Don't play Ovie if they have a lead. At all. Then sit back, let the other team tie it up, and play Ovie again. Then win. :chairshot:

 No shit.......I can't believe he's got Ovechkin buying what he is selling. Must be the winning!

It's a ballsy move by Hunter.

As we've seen in the past; the star player will normally prevail over the coach if they get into a pissing match. With that said; I like Hunter's approach.

I hope the Caps win this .... 1) Because they beat the team I thought would win it all & 2) I don't like the NYR! :chris18:

It'll work only until Ovechkin calls Hunter a fat fuck.

Hunter has Mario Tremblay written all over him. They even look a bit alike.

He's gone more than a quarter of a season into his coaching career without running one of the best players at his position of all time out of town, so at least he has that going for him.

Well, Patrick tried to get Tremblay fired about 2 seconds after he was hired, so Hunter had more work to do.

Tremblay always hated Roy, right from when he was a cocky rookie. Hunter and Ovie had to establish their mutual hatred, they didn't know each other beforehand.

Ah, a good ol' fashioned multi-OT marathon. It's been a while!

The Caps continue to both live and die by sword. Ward took a four-minute high-stick with under a minute to go in the third with the Caps up one, then Richards tied it with 6 seconds to go, and Staal ended it early in OT.

Big game for part-time player Alex Ovechkin, who scored the opener, blocked a ton of shots and damn near scored one while sitting down.

Even in a series in which I can't in good conscience cheer for either team, I do love a game 7. Coooooooooooooome on Saturday!

You say that about every playoff series since the early 80s...

Just read a line at the end of a Puck Daddy article about the whole return of the Dead Puck Era thing we've got going on.

We're 5 wins for the Rangers and 4 wins for the Kings away from another Sutter vs. Tortorella SCF.
