Lucic where art thou? Surely not in front of the f'n net where you belong! When things are going bad park your big ass in front of the net meat head! You are not Cam Neely!

Seguin....seriously you aren't going to do the 1 man dance against playoff teams. Get it in and dump it deep and then drive. Stop coughing up the puck trying to make things happen!

Caps have way more speed than Boston and are playing a better system. C'mon Claude put on your coaching hat!

Props to the 3rd and 4th lines for Boston.

Finally some ugliness in this series. Frankly I'd like to see Milan do something else besides be angry but whatever it worked tonight. A big win for the B's....I am tired of seeing Marchand flop all over the place trying to get calls. Agitate and be aggressive but for God sakes when the wind of your opponent knocks you down repeatedly the Linesman will just laugh at you as will I. Krejci looks concussed.

FYP and copied this to the clipboard b/c I'm too lazy to come up with it on my own.

There's a guy on every team that that statement applies to nowadays, it seems.

Really? Is that why Sestito is still playing in the playoffs, and Horton hasn't played since January?
How many minutes of ice time did Sestito miss? ZERO

Dude...we're making fun of an errant piece of glass...just go with it.

Indeed. :D

Nay sirs ... while the delinquent pane of glass is the catalyst, the punchline is that Bruins antagonists are punished with the fervor of a hate crime

that, and Sask's gif was way funnier

On a related note, Nick Backstrom was supended for one game for his match penalty

these playoffs have been nasty, can't help but wonder if it's all fallout from the non-suspension of Weber

Julien finally changed the lines, flipping Krejci to the Seguin/Marchmont line, and Bergeron to the Lucic/Peverly line

Basically, he just split up the two slow guys ... not sure what it accomplished, but at least he tried something different

Caps score on their first shot :o

Bruins then dominate the rest of the period

1-1 after 1

My boy is saving Dale Hunter and George McPhee's jobs. Holtby's done himself a tremendous favour with this performance individually, but keeping Hunter around will only be detrimental to the team in the long run.

No, really Hip, it was just a joke about the glass.

I thought it was pretty funny when Ovechkin charged Chara in the corner and fell himself. Chara just looked down at him & shook his head.

Holtby was f'n amazing! The Bruins were out of gas at the end. They have to send that meat head to the front of the net! Lucic and Seguin are the biggest liabilities out there right now! They also need to get in front of Holtby...they got away from it this game....that and Erksine was doing a good job of clearing the path. What a shot by that Semin fellow!

No way are the Caps a better team here but hot goalies have won series many times before.

Pretty soon Boston will be doing the old put Chara in front of the net on the PP.

Actually, I've been thinking the last 3 games they should steal a page from the Butt-fugly-one

Put Boychuk in the slot on PPs - you're basically getting a slower Horton
Glenn Murray lives!

Now, no one knows if he can shoot like he does trying to get off a fast release rather than the big wind-up he's used to
what the fuck do they have to lose at this point?

As for Seguin being a liability, at least he's trying to make something happen
Last night he made 4 tape to tape lasers, 2 each to Lucic and Krejci
Guess what happened? 4 muffs :fffffuck:

Krejci has been dreadful this series, only in the last game has he shown anything at all

That poor dude had a pain of plexi fall on him! Seguin is too much for the squad right now. He enters the zone and gets itchy with the puck. That's where his inexperience come into play. What could be a nice chip and check play turns into a hurried pass or a blocked/errant shot. He has guys on his line that can make the play he just needs to slow it down. That doesn't mean cutting it back that means taking it deep and waiting for his peeps to set.

I like Jonny's shot as well. That's a nice idea.

I haven't forgotten about the glass - it's just he played even worse before he got crushed :yayyy:

And not to take anything away from Holtby, I'd bet 35 of the Bruins shots hit him squarely in the glove or chest

Bergeron, as well as he's played, gets close to the net and just flips it right to Holtby ... that's just a give-up play

That's pretty much how it happened. Holtby whiffed a bit on a Seidenberg slapper and then the B's got the kind of goal they needed: Boychuk point shot with traffic in front and Marchand banking in the smallest of rebounds before Holtby could cover.

I don't complain about officiating much but Carlson blatantly held Kelly's stick at the end so they couldn't tie the game off a rebound shot from Chara.

Not taking anything away from Holtby or the Caps though. Thomas didn't have his A game today. And quite honestly the Bruins are being beat at their own game.

It will be very hard for me to take if the Caps close this out. The Caps are NOT the better team. But hot goalies do steal series. I hate to see that spoiled brat Ovechkin pissing and moaning on the bench about his ice time. Its only a matter of time before there is drama. If not this series then one in the future should they move on. Ovechkin's ego can't be contained for long.
