Luongo had a rough series, but this game isn't on him, and I don't see how people can say it is... the team just had nothing left to give. They had way more push in the other home games.

I agree... There wouldn't have been a game 7 if Luongo hadn't held Boston to two goals in the other 3 home games... And NO team deserves to win scoring only 8 goals in 7 games...

The thing is Luongo gave up 25 goals in his 15 wins. You can make a pretty strong argument he was the only reason they got as close as they did. Even if he had played average on the nights where he melted down it might not have made a difference as he never really got much in the way of production from the offence.

Listening to the TV anchor talking about the riot, "you know I could smell marijuana down here through out the game, so you know there is alcohol abuse and drug abuse fueling the riot."

Yea sure, marijuana is always the cause of riots.....

Mostly it looks like 100 idiots and the rest are staying around to watch for the entertainment value. Riot police out but no tear gas yet. Hope they drop their whole supply on them.

Interesting it's localized to Georgia around the post office. Granville has very large, peaceful relaxed crowds, strange to juxtapose the two only blocks away.

Generally the crowds get nuttier after the sun goes down. Hope I'm wrong.

What an awesome series this was, and an awesome playoffs in general
Detroit had the 0-3 comeback, the Bruins had an 0-2 home defecit in round 1

I will post the avatar in the next few days, unless Harmy has any ideas

congratulations to Vancouver and Boston on an epic series

Looks like about 2-300 pissants running around taking pictures of themselves... Out of 100,000+ fans tonight that were downtown.

This was driving me crazy. What a fucking joke. A Sedin needs to give Marchand the beating of his life next regular season. But of course MArchand would turtle like the little bitch that he is.

wtf are you talking about? A Sedin giving anyone a beating would be a first... what dirty hit are you refering to?

Goons win.

Thanks NHL, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

You people are alright though, I'll stick around and post in Chit Chat.

I offered to buy you a beer in game 5 of the Montreal/Boston game

you chose to not even acknowledge the offer

to me, that is arrogance personified

so go fuck yourself

True enough, that was a dickish move on my part.

You deserved better, sorry.

Congratulations to you and your team, harmy. We may butt heads here sometimes but we can still line up and shake hands at the end of the series.

I don't want to congratulate the Boston Bruins but I will because they deserve to win and the Canucks didn't. This one hurts alot. It hurts more than 1994, it hurts more than the Cloutier meltdown against the Wild in 2003. I feels like I've been hit in the solar plexus, the tailbone, the ribcage and the 'nads all at once. I'm not attempting to belittle Boston but they are the least talented Stanley Cup champions since the 2003 New Jersey Devils. They are certainly less talented than the 1982 Islanders and the 1994 Rangers yet the Presidents Trophy winners couldn't defeat them with home ice advantage in Game 7 for all the marbles. I believe the worm turned in Game 3. Everything wrong with the Canucks this series was exposed in that game. The power play went 0 for 8, the Canucks D was exposed, head coaching decisions were left wanting and the Bruins, like Chicago the year before found they could get under the skin of Vancouver and get them off their game. I'll be involved with the post mortem over at the Canucks thread then I'll be taking a very long break from the NHL and OTP.
