This team has something special. They could reastically manage 3 Cups in 4 years due to their youthful core. Farmer Sutter will be back.
Dare I say Dynasty?
Not yet. I think there are three, maybe four, teams competing for this era's Dynasty status. Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Pittsburgh are probably those teams with Pittsburgh pretty much out of it unless their fortunes change quickly. A Dynasty used to require, at a minimum, winning the Stanley Cup at the least three times in a row or something like 4 times in 6 years, along with a number of regular season titles. With the modern era and the salary cap I realize that it is almost impossible for a team to match those pre cap requirements. But, I believe for Dynastic status a team should, at a minimum, at least win back to back Stanley Cups, along with at least a couple of league titles to be considered a modern day Dynasty. I believe Chicago is the most likely candidate for the modern Dynasty status as they came within an overtime goal in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals this year, of probably becoming, the first back to back Stanley Cup Champion since 1998. Chicago also won the regular season league title last year. That said if Los Angeles are able to pull off back to back Stanley Cup titles next year they are, most definitely, in the conversation as this era's modern day Dynasty.
