Aw crap!

As per @VanCanucks: Weise out for 3-4 weeks; Booth out for 1-2 weeks. Schroeder out for two months. Hansen is 3-4 weeks away.

A few weeks of Tom Sestito on the 3rd line. :fffffuck:

With Torts playing the top line 25 minutes a game in a particularly compacted and travel-heavy part of the schedule, you have to wonder how much longer it is before the rest of the forwards join them. :?

This concerns me a lot. Has ever since Torts said in the preseason that he doesn't think playing will affect them later in the year. Not sure it will create injuries so much as I doubt how much stamina they will have left come playoffs. Especially since they'll all be off to Sochi.

Edler out indefinitely with a knee injury. He might have become fans favorite whipping boy on defence for not meeting expectations but he'll be missed. Frankly the team has been really, really lucky this year for injuries to the D, I believe this is the first.

....Alberts serving as his replacement demonstrates the lack on depth of this team. Not only in the top 6 -- but on the back end as well.

I don't think he's played since October 24 vs. New Jersey where he had a whopping 1:49 of ice time.

Should be an defensive adventure tonight. :|

Albert's is not that bad as a 7th guy, much preferable to Cam Barker and our top 6 are about as good as it gets. I'd like a defenceman that could carry the puck but they're pretty rare so I don't think we can gripe about the D too much.

Anyways Phoenix is in town tonight, and faltering. Their low Fenwick score is catching up to them and it should be a good night to move into a playoff spot.

Side note: Tanev leads the team in hit differential with a whopping -62 (he's a frigging gumby body), more than double 2nd place tie with Danke, and Garrison at -30. And of course GMMG bonehead move of the summer, Mr one way 2 year contract himself Tom Sestito is losing the race with a +40 hit differential.
