Howson coined the term "reshaping," which apparently irked Rick Nash's camp since he was told they were "rebuilding."

Not enough GM's use "re-jiggering."

Okay, what the actual fuck? They sign Elliott to an extension which by all accounts means they're going with Jake Allen and Elliott in goal, but yet the Blues hire Jim Corsi to be their goalie coach!?

It's hilarious how many idiots deride Corsi's name because of the stat that bears his name. He never meant for it to be used in the way the fancy stats crowd is using it.

You should explain that Corsi was Buffalo's goalie coach, so Miller's goalie coach, yet they're letting Miller walk.

Yeah, probably jumping ahead a bit. Seems like a very odd move.

Three-year extension for Patrik Berglund, who was shit last year but is too talented to not rebound

Somewhat surprising news: Vladimir Sobotka, an RFA, bolts for the KHL. Certainly not a star but not some average 4th line scrub either.

Taking a stab at next year's lineup because...it's a compulsion:

Steen - Backes - Oshie
Schwartz - Stastny - Tarasenko
Paajarvi-Svensson - Berglund - Ott
Reaves - Lehtera - Lapierre

I think Steen/Stastny would be a deadly combo, but Stazz works well with just about anyone.

Ott for Sobotka is a notable downgrade in the fancystats department.

Why anyone is bolting for the KHL this year of all years is beyond me, but to each their own. Blues must've really lowballed him. You'd think he could've been traded, Montreal definitely had an open roster spot with some cap space for a two-way guy like him.

St. Loo has to keep up their asshole quota. Not sure if Sobotka is or not.

Apparently they offered him 3-5 years at 3m per. He must have wanted out.

Demand a trade! Don't go to Omsk where the owner is probably going to be hit by a round of sanctions soon.

I meant out of this continent.

Some people like shitting on frozen toilet water and vodka for breakfast.

Looks like an Allen/Elliott tandem of sorts. Could be great, could be a disaster.

Hitchcock still coaching? Allen probably wins the Calder.

Seems like Elliot has had enough of a chance to be the guy. I kind of forgot about Allen. He's got a good pedigree right? They must expect that he'll be the man.
