Andrighetto played C or Bournival?

Anyway, Parenteau is probably out for a bit now, so all of Manny, Bournival and Ghetto will play.

Ghetto took the faceoffs. And yeah, Parenteau might be out a while.

A top seven of:

Markov-Subban
Beaulieu-Gonchar
Emelin-Gilbert
Weaver

I can deal.

Timmins is responsible for 10 of Montreal's 22 players. And the majority of their impact.

G: Price
D: Subban, Emelin, Beaulieu
C: Galchenyuk, Desharnais
RW: Gallagher, Andrighetto
LW: Pacioretty, Sekac

One could definitely argue he played a major role in the acquiring of these three players, who didn't stick in the NHL until Montreal: Eller, Bournival, Tokarski

Plekanec and Markov pre-date Timmins and basically anyone in Montreal management at this point.

The rest of the roster is mainly filler from Bergevin... not that it isn't quality, but these guys don't drive most of the wins for sure. Parenteau, Gonchar, Gilbert, Prust, Weise, Weaver, Malhotra.

Bergevin's biggest improvement to the team is really just at the margins and trusting the talent Timmins has given him.

Great leaders recognize talent.

Great leaders delegate.

Great leaders trust the talent around them.

Bergivin is doing a great job by trusting Timmins.

Imagine if Bob trusted the process more and didn't run out to trade for an undersized first line centre...

THN says the Wild are interested in Tokarski. They'd have to overpay. Maybe they're desperate enough to deal Dumba.

The gap between Tokarski and Budaj is pretty amazing. Budaj is an .884 SV% in the AHL in 13 games as St. John's backup. St. John's starter has a .925! I just don't get that trade from Winnipeg's perspective at all, they're paying a lot of money for this year of Budaj.

It's hilarious that the Winnipeg tandem a lot of people thought they'd go with (Pavelec/Budaj) after the trade is probably the one that should be their AHL tandem based on merit.

The Habs scored a few powerplay goals, so they re-signed the assistant coaches: http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/lates ... s-extended

Habs are presumably looking for a top-six scoring forward.

Vermette seems like a good fit.

Who else is there? Jagr, Glencross, Tlusty, Stafford, Stewart, Fleischmann, Ryder (!) as far as UFA's-to-be go. Not a great haul.

Doan up for grabs?

Bergenheim, if he's healthy, would be a great rental for the postseason.

Fleischmann appears to have overstayed his welcome in the NHL. Too bad, when the guy was good, he was very good.

I've heard Bergenheim mentioned, but is he available? Florida is the one team out of the playoffs that shouldn't be classed as sellers yet in the East.

Tallon is reportedly trying to sell some of his vets since it looks like a lot of the kids are ready, most are assuming he's shopping Bergenheim, Kopecky, Upshall, and Fleischmann (pending UFAs). Of those, only Bergenheim is gonna net anything worthwhile.

Habs definitely need some O. They needed RW help before Parenteau got concussed. The team has been quiet about PAP's recovery, so who knows when he'll be back.

Eller is on the wings right now, but I assume it won't last. Even if he's not scoring, he's big, strong defensively and can win faceoffs.

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher
Galchenyuk-Plekanec-*deadline acquisition*
Prust-Eller-Sekac
Thomas-De La Rose-Weise

Malhotra, Bournival

The team just said PAP was practicing again on Friday, I thought.

What a ridiculous waste of an asset in JDLR's first year of his ELC.

Michel Therrien is the NHL's Norv Turner. Keeps getting cush head coaching jobs despite a proven and reliable track record of incompetence.

Centre ain't nothing but a position: Eller and DLR will swap places on the third line Monday against Tampa.
