Flames do to the Avs what they've been doing to the rest of the league all year--pull out a victory at the last minute.
Seriously there can't be a bigger gap between a top pairing and 2nd pairing than what the Flames have. Brodie/Giordano are on = utter dominance. Wideman/Russell, forget it (Wideman did have 2 goals tonight though).
Avs were okay for the most part--a couple boneheaded turnovers led directly to goals. Also got way, WAY too conservative at the end there. Gave way too much room to the Flames in the neutral zone especially.
Johnny Hockey and Boring Monahan are pretty damn good players though. Even Baertschi had some sparks of brilliance.
