Had an incredibly fun day at the Sound Tigers/Whale game. Kids got to high-five the players (twice in some cases, depending on when they went to put their bags in the locker room). My older daughter & our goalie got to ride the Zamboni during the first intermission (said their arms hurt from waving so much

). Had a fun intra-squad scrimmage afterward.
After the Whale won in OT (can't have a perfect night) and before our scrimmage the arena just had a curtain in the hallway between our locker room & the Whale's. A few players were doing physical therapy in the hallway & one was talking to some old friends on our side of the curtain. Not sure who he was, but he was really cool to our players, told them to play hard & have fun...
On the way out my daughter saw a few programs autographed by Nino Niedereiter sitting out on a table. She & a few team mates grabbed them.
Good time overall. And I still don't really understand the whole thing. They gave us $32 retail tickets for $15 each (we had 98), let us play for an hour afterward for free, with some staff staying on to run the clock & Zamboni has to be run again... I guess they figure they're creating more fans who will attend games, but it just seems like they'd lose a lot of money on it.
