Sad news and crazy timing in the very season Brendan became a recognizable name to the public. And also when his dad had been in the news so much recently too.

Thoughts to the Burke family -- I wonder if Burke will take a bit of a leave here and hand the reins to Nonis.

It's what Gainey did when his daughter was lost at sea (he took about 3 or 4 weeks, but at first they didn't know if she would be found or not). But then who is in charge of USA at the Olympics?

Do they really need a GM at this point? It's pretty much Wilson's show from here on out. Burke did choose a pretty good right-hand man in Poile, so I'm sure if a front office guy is needed he can fill in.
